The Stamp Duty Holiday has been extended!

With the Stamp Duty Holiday extended until the end of June, there’s never been a better time to buy with Fletcher Homes.

The Government has extended the Stamp Duty Holiday by three months on all property sales in England and Northern Ireland (up to the value of £500,000) until 30th June 2021. Since the Stamp Duty Holiday was first announced last summer, the scheme has fuelled a mini-boom in the property market with many home-movers looking to take advantage of these savings. According to recent figures released by HM Revenue and Customs, a total of 105,630 residential transactions took place in October 2020, making it the busiest October in at least a decade.

If you are looking to take advantage of this offer, your house purchase must complete before Wednesday 30th June 2021. The offer is applicable for properties up to the value of £500,000, but any properties that exceed this amount will only be taxed on the value above the threshold. Investors and second-home buyers can also take advantage of the stamp duty holiday but will still be required to pay the 3% extra stamp duty they would have been charged as part of the previous ruling.
